About the Role
As a Forward Deployer Engineer at Rensora, you will serve as the critical bridge between our ModernZAI platform and the complex infrastructure realities of our enterprise clients. You will be embedded within client environments during deployment phases, working hands-on with their IT teams to ensure seamless onboarding, data migration, and integration with existing legacy systems. This role demands both deep technical skill and strong client-facing communication.
ModernZAI is Rensora's flagship application modernization platform, and deploying it within large enterprises involves navigating diverse technology stacks, strict security requirements, and intricate data architectures. You will own the end-to-end deployment lifecycle — from initial environment assessment and infrastructure provisioning through to production cutover and post-deployment validation.
This is not a traditional DevOps role. You will operate at the intersection of engineering and consulting, adapting deployment strategies to each client's unique constraints while feeding real-world integration insights back to our product and platform teams. Your work directly determines how quickly and reliably enterprises can begin modernizing their legacy applications with Rensora's technology.
What You'll Do
- Lead the deployment and integration of the ModernZAI platform within enterprise client environments, including on-premise, hybrid, and cloud-native infrastructures
- Collaborate with client IT, DevOps, and security teams to provision environments, configure networking, and meet compliance requirements
- Design and execute data migration strategies for moving legacy application data into modernized architectures
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines tailored to client deployment workflows and change management processes
- Troubleshoot integration issues across legacy systems, APIs, databases, and cloud services in real time during deployment windows
- Create deployment runbooks, technical documentation, and knowledge-transfer materials for client operations teams
- Provide feedback to Rensora's product and engineering teams on deployment patterns, pain points, and opportunities for platform improvement
- Support post-deployment monitoring, performance tuning, and issue resolution during the stabilization period
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of experience in deployment engineering, DevOps, site reliability, or systems integration roles
- Strong hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration technologies, particularly Docker and Kubernetes
- Proficiency in at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP), including networking, IAM, and managed services
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps
- Working knowledge of Python and SQL for scripting, automation, and data migration tasks
- Experience working with or migrating legacy systems, including mainframes, monolithic applications, or on-premise databases
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work directly with client technical teams and explain complex processes clearly
- Comfort operating in client-facing environments with varying levels of technical maturity and infrastructure complexity
Nice to Have
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation
- Familiarity with enterprise integration patterns, message queues, and API gateway architectures
- Background in application modernization, re-platforming, or cloud migration projects
- Knowledge of observability tooling such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or ELK stack
